Our organizing committee is working diligently to prepare for Pride: Durham, NC ! Check out our event lineup for each day, and scroll below to learn more about our theme for this year's Pride. Pride: Durham, NC has built on a long heritage, from the first public demonstration for gay civil rights in North Carolina to two full days of honoring, supporting, and celebrating LGBTQIA people and their families and loved ones in Durham, across North Carolina and beyond.

Be a part of inclusive LGBT groups, register for queer and gay events, celebrate the pride month in Durham with pub crawls, adventures and parades. Explore all things rainbow, queer and be a part of the LGBT Pride Month with us. Sunday the annual Pride parade and community kick back will commence. The festival is organized every year by the LGBTQ Center of Durham and is partially sponsored by the city itself, making it one of North Carolina’s best attended LGBTQ+ Pride events.

This year, Pride: Durham, NC will take place on two days — Saturday, Sept 28 and Sunday, Sept 29! On Saturday, we will be in downtown Durham hosting our Music & Market Festival! Hosted by the LGBTQ Center of Durham, we have multiple sites downtown activated for community members to visit and enjoy. Every partnership, every collaboration, every solidarity, all of them matter.

Let's lean into our intersectional partnerships in accessibility, arts, advocacy, public health, and more. This acknowledges our relationships to the land, the water, the air, and all living things in creation. Let's move in solidarity with our champions of Durham's natural resources: the stewards of the Eno, the Beaver Queens, and more. Investing in the wellbeing of young people is always a worthwhile labor of love because they represent what's to come.

We welcome and celebrate our children, centering and nurturing their development as essential. We also stand with parents and caregivers, working with them so that their families have what they need to participate fully. Let's make it easier for Durham's queer kids to be who they are and to grow up proud of who they are.
